Ecotherapy

What is ecotherapy?

Ecotherapy is a grounded approach to healing that involves engaging in outdoor activities amidst the beauty and serenity of nature.

The charity MIND describes it as a structured form of therapy led by trained professionals (sometimes therapists), who are there to guide and support you through your journey of healing & self-discovery.

People sometimes use different words to describe ecotherapy, depending on whether the activity has an emphasis on exercise, gardening (horticulture), craft or therapy. Some of the other words include:

Green Care ~ Green Exercise ~ Nature Therapy ~ Horticulture Therapy
